I’m passionate about marketing, I love marketing, I eat it, sleep it, taste and breathe it.  Marketing is the lifeline of companies, it makes or breaks, it grows or shrinks economies, it has the opportunity to transform and explode a company.  Internet marketing is a relatively new species.  Several have entered the arena, several have failed and subsequently left the same arena rapidly.  The reason many fail at Internet Marketing is this: they don’t ‘get it’. They attempt to market to the wrong audience, they also try to PUSH their marketing on others.  The Internet does not allow for pushing. People are truly in the driver seat of the Internet, they choose their own adventure each time they type in google.com.  They dictate what they want to see, how they want to see it and more importantly, WHEN they want to see it.  If your company is simply splattering tweets out, blogs, facebook postings, etc., you will quickly discover that people are not listening.

When the marketing mentality switches to GIVING online rather then pushing online, amazing things happen.  Suddenly, your tweets become valuable nuggets, your blog postings offer value and insight to your consumer base, your web site is contributing to the greater good.

Now, more than ever, it’s time to contribute, time to give. It truly is in giving that we receive.
